Oliver Willacy is a physician and entrepreneur with extensive experience in women’s health and digital obesity care. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Copenhagen, where his research focused on developing advanced treatments for congenital female disorders. Alongside his academic work, he has gained broad clinical experience across surgery and general practice, giving him a strong foundation in patient-centered care.
Oliver has co-authored 24 peer-reviewed scientific articles and holds an H-index of 8, reflecting his strong track record in clinical and translational research.
Driven by a passion for innovation, he founded Medstart, one of Scandinavia’s first digital weight loss clinics. As CEO, he led the development of a scalable care model that integrates medical obesity treatment with personalized digital health coaching. Under his leadership, the company expanded across Denmark and Norway and built strong collaborations with leading industry and research partners before merging with Yazen in 2024.
