Made with simple ingredients like oats, eggs, and cottage cheese, they’re soft on the inside, golden on the outside, and infused with oregano and garlic for that classic Italian aroma.

Perfect fresh from the oven or packed for lunch, these buns are a clever way to enjoy comfort food without compromise. High in protein and full of flavour, they make an ideal snack, breakfast, or post-workout bite for anyone who loves a healthy twist on pizza night.

Cottage Cheese Buns with Pizza Flavour

Serves: 6 buns

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500 ml (2 cups) cottage cheese (1.5% fat)
  • 3 eggs
  • 175 g oats (5 dl)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp oregano or pizza seasoning
  • 2 pinches garlic powder
  • 100 ml (0.4 cup) shredded cheese (17% fat)

METHOD:

  1. Preheat oven to 200–225°C.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Spoon into 6 mounds on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Top with cheese and extra seasoning if desired.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden.
